This Disclaimer explains important limitations of the PDFtez website and tools. It should be read together with our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

1. General information only

PDFtez is a general document utility. It does not provide legal, financial, tax, compliance, security or other professional advice. You should not rely on any tool output as professional advice or as a substitute for review by a qualified professional where that matters.

2. Check output files before use

PDF tools can change formatting, page order, compression, image quality, metadata, text extraction and file behavior. You are responsible for checking every output file before sharing, signing, filing, publishing, printing or relying on it.

3. Signatures

The Sign PDF tool creates a visible signature or signature image on a PDF. It is not a cryptographic digital signature, does not use a certificate authority, and does not by itself prove identity, consent, integrity or legal enforceability. Requirements for electronic signatures vary by country, document type and use case.

4. Redaction

The Redact PDF tool is designed to flatten pages with redactions so covered content is not selectable or extractable from those pages. You remain responsible for reviewing the final PDF carefully before sharing it, especially for sensitive, confidential, legal, medical, financial or regulated information.

5. Passwords and document security

The Protect PDF tool applies PDF password protection and permissions where supported by the PDF library and browser environment. PDF passwords and permissions are not a complete security system. Keep backups of original files, use strong passwords, and do not rely on PDF permissions alone for highly sensitive material.

6. Cloud conversions

Most PDFtez tools run in your browser. Office conversion tools such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint to/from PDF require server-side processing through CloudConvert. Do not upload files to cloud conversion tools unless you are comfortable with that processing and have the right to upload the file.

7. Availability and errors

PDFtez is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, perfect conversion quality, complete data extraction, or suitability for any particular purpose.
